It was a great pleasure to serve on the board of the World Community Development and Education Society as a director in 2008-2009. WCDES was formed to foster awareness in our community on development issues and the links between local and global concerns. WCDES hosts a large Film Festival each year and in 2009 I coordinated the first ever World Community Youth Forum.
